This website will deal with Precourt family genealogy - the descendants
of Francois Vanasse dit Precourt and Marie Josephte LeFettey dit Lamontagne who were married December 24 ,1708 at Cap de la
Madeleine Quebec . This website will deal for the most part with those Precourts who emigrated to the United States .
I am now tracing those families with Precourt wives . Any help appreciated.
It is my experience that almost all Precourts or Precours in the United
States outside of a Maine origin are from the Precourt branch of the Vanasse family .

If the Vanasse Precourts would name a center for their family
, it would have to be the Baie du Febvre in Yamaska County Quebec .Into well into the 1800s , this small parish was the hub
of Precourt family life . On the map it is listed as LA BAIE .

Need help updating the Precourts of North Attleboro and Wisconsin
. I am looking for anything on the family of Jean Baptiste Precourt and Delphine Gagnon . Their children moved to Central
Falls and then Pawtucket where they appear in the census records between 1900 and 1930 . Some of their children were baptized
in the mid 1870s at St Joseph in Ashton ( Cumberland ) RI .

I am also researching the Precoor , Precures
, Procure of the Niagara Peninsula , Kent and Elgin Counties in Ontario .
This a Joseph Precore who married Mary ? and lives in Caistor Lincoln County Ontario .
There is a John Pricore who married Margaret Kennedy in 1832 at Niagara and settled in Elgin County and is there in
the 1851 census . John gives parents as Andre and Marie .
There is also a Joseph Pricoor with a family in 1851 at Bayham Ontario .
MISSING COUPLES
Joseph Precourt and Marguerite Auger married 1831 at Nicolet .
Jean Moise Precourt and Madeleine Bellemare married 1832 at Trois Rivieres .
Andre Precourt and Madeleine Corbin married 1787 at Cap de la Madeleine . He was a soldier - in 1801 at
Amhesrtburg Ontario .
